Farewell Concert:: Ed Eddy & Residivis

Ed Eddy & ResidivisEd Eddy & Residivis has long been known as a band with its inspiration to their songs came from daily life. Public acknowledge them from their song about the reckless use of firearms, “Kronologi Pistol & Amunisi” – The Chronology of Pistol and Ammunition,  and  from their most controversial song, “Anjing” – cops mistaken as street thugs, which once displeased the police department and made Ed Eddy and his partner-in-crime, Igo, being sued. Both of them had to be in a long drawn battle in court. Although Eddy and Igo always claim that the song did not insult the police, that they were not calling the police as dog, as an exclamation, or swearing word like ‘doggone it!’ or maybe ‘damn!’ but the way they sing it does give way to many interpretations. The trial drew protest from supporters for the freedom of speech in Bali. But ultimately the judges found them guilty and sentenced probation for 1 year. Their debut album, “Lagu Kita Orang Indonesia“, was finally released in April 2008.

Not too long from now, Eddy, the lead singer, will depart to Australia and thus this concert is made. Given the title of ‘Aku Tak Sedih‘ – I’m Not Sad, the concert will be a farewell concert of Ed Eddy & Residivis, featuring three other bands: de Buntu, Day After The Rain, and Dilla.

Time:         7:20 P.M. – 11:25 P.M.
